But if you decide to spend your free time actively hiking, climbing, or biking, there are many hiking trails available in the Biokovo Nature Park. Cycling with a view to the magnificent Adriatic Sea and the islands of Brac and Hvar, the Peljesac peninsula, and the island of Korcula, will take you out of any mental blockage and out of any dark thoughts.

Villa Yanko is located in a green, surrounded by small hamlets called Gornji Tučepi where not many people live and car traffic is rare out of peak season. You can walk on these asphalt roads as well as hiking trails that lead to the mountain Biokovo where, among other things, there is a newly built most popular attraction "Skywalk" located in Stara Vlaška in Nature Park Biokovo.

If you want to go to the seaside and walk by the sea, it is best to drive to the beach (2 - 3 minutes by car, 1.5 -2 km distance). It can be done on foot, but it is a little bit steep, so it could be difficult for younger or older members of the family, especially going back :) Tucepi is known for its long connected beaches 4 km long. Right next to TUCEPI, there is a beautiful small place PODGORA with also beautiful long beaches. The whole Makarska Riviera is worth seeing.

City Makarska is also very interesting with its cafes, restaurants, green market, shopping malls, pastry shops, a promenade by the sea... etc. Makarska is only a 10-minute drive from Villa Yanko and Tucepi is closer - a 3-4 minute drive from Villa Yanko.

As I mentioned, you can make car daily trips to Natur Park Biokovo. It's above Villa Yanko but it is a large area and can be under the snow out of peak season because it is a very high mountain. The highest peak Sveti Jure is at 1762m and it's the second high Croatian peak. There is Biokovo Nature Park, you can watch wild animals, cows, and horses as well.
